An Insane Act.
INDEPENDENCE, Iowa, Jan. 21.—Samuel Anderson, a retired farmer, aged 60, crushed his wife’s head with a flatiron and cut his own throat. He is dead, but his wife may recover. It is thought he was insane.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Sept. 22 1835 and died Jan. 20, 1895. He is buried in the Wilson Cemetery.
