Ronald D. Albert, 71 years old, of rural Brandon, Iowa, died on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at ABCM Rehab Center Independence – West Campus in Independence, Iowa. He was born on August 12, 1949, in Independence, Iowa, the son of Cecil Nicholas and Ruby Louise (Baker) Albert. He attended the Independence school system. He farmed with his family near Brandon. He also worked at the Walker Sale Barn for many years.
Mr. Albert ground the feed for all of the livestock on their farm. And he had a very good eye when it came to judging the weight of the cattle. He liked to fish and play baseball and pool. He was also fond of a little good natured teasing of other people.
Mr. Albert is survived by 2 brothers, Kenneth (Patt) Albert of Independence and Craig (Judy) Albert of Brandon, 3 nieces, Tara (Kevin) McEnany of Independence, Jackie (Shawn) Aberle of Troy Mills, Iowa, and Jennifer (Brian) Havolick of Nebraska, 1 nephew, Jordan Albert of Rowley, Iowa, 3 great nieces, and 2 great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at the Brandon Community Center in Brandon. A prayer service will begin at 2 p.m. Mr. Albert’s cremated remains will be buried in Brandon Cemetery in Brandon at a later date.
White Funeral Home of Independence is in charge of arrangements.
