—Mrs. Henrietta Woodruff, of Independence, died last week in her 83d year. She has been a resident there since 1857 and was one of the founders of the Oakwood seminary where many of the present residents of Independence received their educations.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she was born Dec. 15, 1814 and died Nov. 15, 1897. She is buried in Oakwood Cemetery,
