Beverly A. Steggall, 81, of Oelwein, Iowa, died on Friday, December 11, 2020 at her home with her family by her side.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, a private family graveside service will be held at Hazleton (Fontana) Cemetery in Hazleton, Iowa.

Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, is assisting the family.

Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings and the recent surge in the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing will be required. Those in attendance are required to wear a mask at the graveside. We encourage relatives and friends not able to attend the service to reach out to the family by leaving a message on the funeral home web site, by mail, text or phone.

Beverly Ann Brewer was born on December 9, 1939 at rural Fairbank, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth Carl and Leona (Pettit) Brewer. She graduated from Lamont High School. Bev was united in marriage to Gene Allen Steggall on October 12, 1957 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Bev worked at the Little Giant Grocery Store as a checker and then for 30 years at Kennedy’s Super Value in the meat department. She was a collector of all things and liked antiques. Bev loved to spend time with her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Beverly is survived by her Children: Durango (Deb) Steggall of Oelwein,

Cindy (Bill) Fortsch Oelwein,

Kevin (Mary Beth) Steggall of Oelwein,

Jerry (Connie) Steggall of Marion and

Chad (Sheila) Steggall of Waverly;

14 Grandchildren; 26 Great grandchildren;

Sister: Faith Arthur of Republic, Missouri;

2 Half-brothers: Terry (Lori) Steggall of Hawkeye and Glenn Steggall of Oelwein

and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Gene on August 14, 2004; and 5 brothers: Kenneth Brewer, Paul Brewer, Gerald Brewer, Larry Brewer and Willis Brewer.
