Janice Lee Davy, 75, of Clovis, New Mexico and formerly of Independence, IA died November 26th, 2020 in Clovis, NM.

Janice was born November 30, 1944 in Grundy Center, Iowa the daughter of Alfred J. and Grace L. (Binder) Johnson and was raised in the Conrad, Iowa area. She was united in marriage to Frank A. Davy on June 14, 1961 in Lebanon, MO. to which two children were born: Don and Daryl, and later divorced. Janice then moved to Waterloo, IA where she met Webster Andrews, Sr. and had two children: LuWanda and Anthony Davy. Later, she moved to Independence, Iowa, making it their home for most of her life. She worked various cleaning jobs around town.

Janice loved working outdoors, helping others, reading, music, and volunteering at church. She was the church’s custodian for years, and helped as a camp counselor for youth camp, through which she became mother and grandmother to more than just her four children, and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children; Don Davy, Waterloo, IA, Daryl Davy, Waterloo, IA., Wanda Davy, Clovis, NM, and Tony (Alicia) Davy, Clovis, NM, 4 Grandchildren, and 3 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Barbara Eick, and Betty Woosley, and three brothers; Alvin, Theodore, and John Johnson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, December 8th, 2020, at Calvary Evangelistic Center in Independence, IA with burial in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call from 5PM to 7PM Monday at the Reiff Family Center in Independence, IA. Masks and social distancing will be required at both events.
