JESUP - David Robert Demuth, 52, of Waukon, formerly of Jesup, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon of natural causes.

He was born Sept. 15, 1959, at People's Memorial Hospital in Independence, son of Paul Franklin Demuth and Cleone Josephine Reiter Demuth. He married Nancy Bjorheim in Jesup, and they later divorced.

He attended Divine Word Seminary High School in East Troy, Wis., and graduated from Jesup High School in 1978. He received a building trades certificate from Hawkeye Technical College. Mr. Demuth did maintenance and carpentry work at Waukon Feed Ranch.

Survived by: seven sisters, Barbara Sharp of Barre, Vt., Marilyn (Lynn) Schulte of Prole, Ruth Demuth of Tiffin, Teresa (Michael) Myers of Waukon, Rose (Edward) Irlbeck of Dedham, Susan Tarasi of Ankeny and Patricia (Randy) Glassell of Fontanelle; four brothers, James (Meriel) of Clarion, Anthony (Debbie) of St. Joseph, Mo., Fritz (Marge) of Jesup and Ronald (Sylvia) of Encinitas, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: his parents; a nephew; and a brother-in-law, Frank Tarasi. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, with burial in church cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at White Funeral Home, Jesup, with a 3 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
