Lyle D. Prochaska, 66 years old of rural Jesup, IA, died Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Unity Point Health – Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, IA, following a short illness.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. – Thursday, October 1, 2020, at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo, IA. Social distancing and masks are requested. Memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences may be posted at www.White-MtHope.com

Lyle was born December 9, 1953, in Waterloo, IA, the son of Lyle V. Prochaska and Mildred Evelyn (Schackow) Prochaska. He was a member of the last graduating class of Waterloo Central High School in 1973.

On May 19, 1990, he was united in marriage to Karen L. Wiebbecke at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. They later divorced. Lyle worked in the shipping department at Control-O-Fax in Waterloo before retirement. He was a former constituent of the First United Methodist Church in Jesup.

Lyle is survived by one daughter, Megan (Justin Klein) Prochaska of Evansdale; one brother, John Prochaska of Waterloo; and one sister, Roxzane (D.J.) Bamford of Waterloo. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dan Prochaska.

White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, is in charge of the arrangements.
