Lightning Killed Two.
Winthorp, July 20.—Two section men were killed and seven others injured by lightning just east of Pine Creek on the Illinois Central last night. The men took refuge from a heavy storm in an old log house near the track where they had been working. They were only a few moments inside when the building was struck by the fatal bolt. The gang was a large one and every man felt the effects. Two of them, Frank Gorke, of Chicago, and John Fitzgerald were killed outright and seven others severely shocked. Their injuries, however, are not of a serious nature.
