Marla Maxine Dinnebier, 61 years old of rural Independence, IA, died Thursday, April 23, 2020, at Ravenwood Specialty Care in Waterloo, IA. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Marla’s services will be private family services will be held Monday, April 27, 2020. Burial will be at Old Barclay Cemetery rural Jesup, IA.

Memorials may be directed to the family by mailing them to White Funeral Home, 1315 Main Street, Jesup, IA 50648.

Marla was born November 21, 1958, in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Robert Leroy Nelson and Mary Edna (Gardner) Nelson. She graduated from West High School in Waterloo with the class of 1976. On March 4, 1978, she was united in marriage to Ralph W. “Bill” Dinnebier at the American Lutheran Church in Jesup. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2013. Marla was a homemaker but also had worked at Valley Services. She enjoyed camping and spending time with family and friends.

Marla is survived by two sisters, Dana Gardner of Cedar Rapids, IA, Sharon Nelson of Washburn; and one brother, Robert Nelson of California. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents.

White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, is in charge of the arrangements.
