Cecil Theodore Wright, 80 of Jesup, died Saturday Aug. 24, at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo of natural causes.
He was born May 23, 1911, in Macomb, Ill., the son of George E. and Gertrude Wheeler Wright. He married Marie Lucile Sasse Dec. 19, 1939 in Littleton.
Mr. Wright farmed for several years before working 35 years for Deere & Co., Waterloo. He was also in the saw sharpening business for many years, retiring earlier this year.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter Margaret Marquart of Jesup, a son, Richard P. of Spokane Wash.; five grandchildren; and a sister, Gladys N. Wright of Independence; He was preceded in death by four brothers, Carl, Ralph, Ernest and Rosco; and two sisters, Beulah DeVine and Geneva Cotton.
Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, with burial in Littleton Cemetery, Littleton.
Friends may call anytime at White Funeral Home, and also an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
