Died at Independence.
William Jones, who for the past two or three years has spent much of his time in Cresco at his trade as a bricklayer, became mentally deranged last Saturday evening and wandered out to the Phil. McCarville home east of town on Sunday morning. Mr. McCarville recognized his condition and brought him to town and turned him over to the sheriff. Monday morning he was taken to the Independence hospital and Wednesday morning word came that soon after arrival at the hospital he went into convulsions, which followed one after another until his death Tuesday evening. The remains were interred at Independence.
