Roy R. Conrade, Sr., 86, of Independence, Iowa died Friday evening, May 10, 2019 at ABCM Rehabilitation Centers of Independence, West Campus in Independence.

Private Family Graveside Service were held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein.

Roy Russell Conrade, Sr. was born July 20, 1932 in Epworth, Iowa, the son of Oza Conrade. He was raised by William and Irene Lightfoot. On October 20, 1985, he was united in marriage to Cathy Jo Davis at Loudonville, Ohio. Roy was a truck driver, hauling mail.

Roy is survived by his 4 children: Bonnie Seago of Fredericksburg, Roxanne Conrade of Fayette, Roy Conrade, Jr. of Fayette and Stacey Conrade of Osage; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a sister: Beth.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Cathy on May 25, 1998; and a sister: Marjorie.
