—At Independence, last Sunday, Wm. R. Skelly, an engineer living in that city, who was killed in a head end collision on the Illinois Central, was buried. More than a thousand persons were in attendance. A special train of four coaches carried friends and acquaintances of the deceased from Waterloo thither. The occasion was one to call out the most sincere sympathies of all who were associated with the deceased in the railroad service.
