Independence – Jane M. Fletcher, 64 years old, of Independence, Iowa, formerly of Waterloo, Iowa, died on Monday, November 12, 2018, at ABCM Rehab Center Independence – West Campus in Independence. She was born in Manchester, Iowa, on January 13, 1954, the daughter of Lyle William and Marcia Roween (Pittman) Fletcher. Ms. Fletcher enjoyed time spent at Camp Courageous, taking part in the Special Olympics, going on excursions with her house mates, shopping, and coloring. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Independence.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Martha and Greg Fletcher of Independence, Iowa, and several special friends from her group home.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church in Independence with Pastor Stuart Vander Vegte and Rev. Dr. Sarah Rohret officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence. Friends may call for visitation from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16th, at the White Funeral Home in Independence.
