Lawrence M. Winfield, 43, of Oelwein, Iowa died on Sunday morning, September 30, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Chicago, Illinois.
Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lawrence Matu Winfield was born on October 14, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Jack & Virginia (Langston) Winfield. He graduated from high school in Chicago. Lawrence moved to Oelwein in 2004 and was united in marriage to Joy Adina Jones on January 17, 2005 in Oelwein. He was employed at Ashley Industrial Molding in Oelwein.

Lawrence is survived by his Wife: Joy Winfield; Daughter: Lawren Winfield; 5 Siblings: David, Jackie, Keba, Lynette (Derrick Hoyne) and Evetta; Mother-in-law: Pandora Balladolid; Sister-in-law: Jewell Jones and several Nieces & Nephews including Dominick, Derrick and Ashaunta.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents.
