Dorothy A. Nichols, 49, of Hazleton, Iowa died on Tuesday morning, July 17, 2018 at the Buchanan County Health Center, Independence.

Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Floral Hills Funeral Home, rural Oelwein, with Pastor Duane Olsen officiating.

Visitation: 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and for one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Interment: Hazleton (Fontana) Cemetery, Hazleton, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

Dorothy Anne Nichols was born on August 25, 1968 in Oelwein, Iowa the daughter of Dean Robert & Denice Lorraine (Wait) Nichols. She graduated from Oelwein Community High School in the class of 1986 and later continued her education at Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo. Dorothy made her home in Hazleton and was blessed with two sons, Adam and Austin. She worked the past 16 years for Dr. David Roberts, DDS, in Cedar Falls as a dental assistant. Dorothy enjoyed shopping, having a good time with her friends, taking her dog, Nikki, for a drive and spending time with her grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her 2 Sons: Adam Nichols of Oelwein and

Austin Nichols of Hazleton;

3 Grandchildren: Rhiannon Nichols, Natalie Nichols & Mason Bushaw;

Special Friend: Mike Conrad of Hazleton;

Mother: Denice Nichols (Leo Michels) of Pemberton, Minnesota;

2 Sisters: Dian Nichols (Clint Youngblut) of Independence &

Dawn (Tom) Lamphere of Fayette;

Brother: Matthew Nichols of Independence;

Half Sister: Donna (Brent) Albertson of Rochester, Minnesota and many

Nieces & Nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her father.
