Elsie Mae Kerkove, 85 of Jesup, IA, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. - Monday, April 30, 2018, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, IA, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Sunday April 29th at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, where there will be a parish rosary at 4:00 p.m. and vigil service at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Monday at the church. Memorials may be directed to St. Athanasius Catholic Church.

Elsie was born October 30, 1932, in Fayette County, Iowa the daughter of Mable Cue. She attended school in Maynard, IA. On January 19, 1957, she was united in marriage to Clarence Joseph "Casey" Kerkove at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oelwein, IA. They moved to Jesup where they raised their family. Elsie worked at Sears Department Store in Waterloo, IA. She was a member St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup.

Elsie is survived by one son, Dennis (Melodee) Kerkove of Jesup; two daughters, Diane (Michael) Bender of Farmington, MO, Deb (Don) McLaury of Jesup; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one brother, Sam Fox; and one sister, Shirley (Norman) Reeves.

Her parents; husband, "Casey"; and one brother, Rex; preceded her in death.

White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, is in charge of the arrangements.
