Peggy A. Stevenson, 75, of Independence, IA died Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at ABCM Rehabilitation Center – East Campus in Independence, IA.

Peggy was born on June 24, 1942 in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Harold K. & Ethelmae (Luck) Milligan. She was a 1960 graduate of Shell Rock High School, and on November 2, 1960 she married Robert W. Stevenson Jr. in Clarksville, IA. They lived throughout the nation making their home in Memphis, TN, Cherry Point, NC, Kaneohe, HI, Yuma, AZ, San Antonio, TX, Waterloo, IA and finally Independence, IA. They later divorced.

She is survived by her two sons; Todd Stevenson, Independence, IA, and Anthony (Mabel) Stevenson, Santa Carlita, CA, a brother; David Milligan, Waterloo, IA, three nephews; Timothy Humphrey, Ryan and Kyle Milligan; five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, and a great grandchild, Dylan Stevenson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 9, 2018, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Independence, IA, with Rev. David Beckman presiding and Rev. Mr. Tim Post Co-Celebrating.

Burial will be held in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit from 8:30 AM until services on Monday morning.
