having grown up with a family of readers, Lois once admitted as a child she was fond of sneaking off with a book to avid doing her chores. No surprise that every room in her home was a library. She loved to read and was knowledgeable about a variety of subjects. Once while visiting her daughter and son-in-law in the UK they said she clearly knew more about England's history than they did.

Her fondness for post-it notes was evident to anyone who received a gift, photo, or newspaper clipping. All correspondence was documented with layers and layers on information. her home was filled with furniture she either repaired, refinished or reupholstered; and bought an upright piano that might have been taken to the dump had it not been for her willingness and ability to restore it. She took it apart, refinished the pieces and resembled the piano. In ever endeavor she was meticulous. The dolls she made wore clothes that were sewn with linings.

Lois A. Huber was a teacher, a traveler, artist and craftsman, fiercely independent, She was the architect of her own life. She was wise counsel. But most importantly, she was a loving mother and supportive friend to many.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mary Nelson, and a brother, Gifford Bare.
