Judith Ann Wirtz, 70 years old, of Jesup, IA, died Sunday, June 18, 2017, at Winding Creek Meadows Assisted Living in Jesup, of natural causes.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. - Friday, June 23, 2017, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, IA, with inurnment at St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, Jesup.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 22, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, with a Parish Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a Parish Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue for an hour before services, Friday, at the church. Memorials may be directed to the church and family.

Judith Ann Aukerman was born January 17, 1947, in Olympia, WA, the daughter of Clyde D. Aukerman and Doris Mae (Marsh) Aukerman. She graduated from Olympia High School with the class of 1965, and then met Donald Leo Wirtz. The couple was united in marriage on September 18, 1965, in Olympia, WA and moved to Jesup, where they made their home.

Judy attended Pitze’s School of Beauty in Waterloo, IA, and became a licensed beautician and cosmetologist. She opened her own beauty shop out of her home and ran it for over 20 years. Even after retirement she would still cut hair on the side. Judy was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church.

Judy is survived by one son, Roger (LuAnn) Wirtz of Dike, IA; one daughter, Kelly (Randy) Flaucher of Jesup, IA; four grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Johnson, Courtney Wirtz, P.J. Flaucher, and Ally Flaucher; two great grandchildren, Brenden and Jordan with one great grandchild on the way; three brothers, Terry Aukerman of Renton, WA, John (Charlene) Aukerman of Olympia, WA, and Robert Aukerman of Olympia, WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Donald in 2015.

White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, is in charge of arrangements.
