Thomas A. Miller, 70, of Hazelton, IA, died Friday, June 23, 2017 at the at his home in Hazelton, IA.

Thomas was born on October 14, 1946 in Cedar Falls, IA the son of August E. and Kathrine J. (Kroll) Miller. He was a 1964 graduate of Cedar Falls High School and attended Universal Trade School in Omaha, NE. On June 17, 1967, he married Marjorie J. Stroud at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Omaha, NE. The couple made their home in Hazelton, IA and Tom started working at B& L Auto in Oelwein, IA as a Auto Body mechanic. Later in 1979 he started his own business called Miller Motors, in Hazelton, IA, and worked on cars until his death.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, NASCAR, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of fifty Years, Marjorie, Hazelton, a son; Thomas Joseph “Gomer” Miller, Grinnell, IA, two daughters; Tammy (Brad) Miller-Fuller, Hazelton, IA, and Robin (Andy) Doan, Ankeny, IA. Seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at the Living Water Church, Independence, IA, Friends may call from 9 AM until services at the church.
