Carol Margaret Jones, 96, of Green Valley, Arizona and formerly of Winthrop, entered into her eternal rest on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Green Valley.

Carol Margaret Miller was born November 25, 1920 at Independence, Iowa the daughter of Cass L. and Hazel C. Tielebein Miller. She attended country schools near Quasqueton, graduated High School in Independence, and graduated from Coe College in Cedar Rapids.

Carol was united in marriage to Kenneth K. Jones on February 16, 1941 at Quasqueton, Iowa. To this union were born two children: James and Carol. She raised her family in Winthrop, Iowa and Lone Rock, Iowa. In 1978 they retired to Green Valley, Arizona. Her husband Kenneth preceded her in death on November 28, 1992.

Carol was a Piano Instructor much of her life. She was a member of the Methodist and Presbyterian Churches. She belonged to the Order of Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Kenneth.

Survivors include her son James (Mary) L. Jones of New London, MN; and her daughter Carol R. Eimers of Green Valley, AZ; grandchildren: Jessica, Dustin, Kimberly, and Sabrina; great grandchildren: Paige, Blake, Brady, Haylie, Brooke and Bode.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in the Fawcett Funeral Home at Winthrop. Family will greet friends from 10 AM until services on Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Winthrop. Casketbearers will be grandchildren.

The Fawcett Funeral Homes and Cremation services of Winthrop is assisting the family with arrangements.
