After retiring to Harper’s Ferry, she worked for several years as city clerk and volunteered on the historical committee in that area. Alice cherished her flowers from petunias on the curb in Aurora to geraniums overlooking the river, and loved her friends, time on the river and most of all her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: son, Nick (Catherine) Quint of Madison, WI; daughter, Judy (Dean) Hauschildt of Springfield, MO; and son, Dan (Michelle) Quint of LaCrosse, WI; grandchildren: Ryan (Tanya) Quint of Madison, WI; Nicole (Robb) Maly-Verhelst of Madison, WI; Katie (Cole) Naughton of Omaha, NE; Mitchell (Shannon) Hauschildt of Springfield, MO; Jenny (Chad) Phillips of Wilmington ,NC; Tim (Jody) Quint of Wilmington, NC; Sarah Quint of Madison, WI; Mike (Kristie) Quint of Wilmington, NC; Sheena (Shaun) Behnke of Madison, WI; and Daniel Quint of Panama City, FL; She also leaves behind three step-grandchildren: Nels, Lars, and Kristin Forde, all of Madison, WI; and twenty great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her honor.
