Owen S. Duffy, age 76 years, passed away at his home here Thursday morning at 1 o'clock, following an illness of two month's duration.

The deceased born at County Armagh, Ireland in 1851 and came to Iowa when but a small boy. In 1877,he was married to Miss Anna Murphy and to this union eleven children were born, all of whom survive him besides eight brothers and 36
grandchildren.

Following Mr. & Mrs. Duffy's marriage, they settled on a farm near Fairbank where they lived for 10 years. Then they moved to the farm south
of this place where he resided until his death.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning
at nine thirty. Rev. R.F. Duffy, a nephew of the deceased read the requiem mass,assisted by Fr. Murtagh of Edgewood and Fr.Lonergan. Fr.Lonergan
preached the sermon. Internment was made in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Sympathy extended to the bereaved relatives.
