Gary B. Sauer, 75, of Cordova TN, passed away on November 18th 2016 the Methodist Germantown Hospital in Germantown, TN

He was born in Brandon, IA on July 18th 1941 to Wilbur & Margaret Sauer, and lived his early years in Quasqueton Iowa. He later moved to Tucson AZ where he attended Sunnyside High School and later went on to receive his college degree from the University of Arizona. He had an early interest in air flight and technology and was fortunate to translate this into roles at Continental Airlines and later retired from a 27 year career with Federal Express.

Gary had an intense love of music & traveling across the US and sharing those interests with his family

Gary is survived by his loving wife Michele; his two sons and daughters in law, Todd Sauer & Barbara Sauer of Escondido CA, and Devin Sauer & Donna Choate of Chicago IL; three grandchildren, Abigail, Astara & Alex; his two brothers and their wives, Douglas & Andy Sauer of Bolton CT & Allan & Brenda Sauer of Vernon CT; and four nieces and nephews, Amy, Laura, Peter, and Mary Jo, and several grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday November 27th at Hoover Church, on 2900 310th Street, Troy Mills IA, with visitation beginning at 1pm, funeral services at 2pm with internment following at Circle Grove Cemetery located at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105, or to a charity of your choice.
