Frances Kurt, 84, died Thursday, June 23, 1994, in West Village Care Center after a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, St. John's Catholic Church, by the Rev. Ardel H. Barta. Burial: St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call after 8 a.m. Sunday at Reiff Funeral Home, Independence, where there will be a rosary at 3 and vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Survivors include her husband, Urban; two sons, Richard of Independence and Dan of Bridgeport, Neb.; and two daughters, Eileen Kirby of Independence and Rose Ann Thoma of Jesup.

Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
