DUBUQUE TELEGRAPH – HERALD AND TIMES JOURNAL; October 12, 1930

Independence, Ia. – Special: Anton Dusman, aged 83 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. J. Wolfe, in this city, Thursday afternoon about 3 o’clock. He had been in failing health for the past several years, but had not been bedfast until a few days ago. Death was due to infirmities of old age

He was born in Germany and came to America when a young man and has since made his home here. He was a veteran in the tailor business which he followed for many years, and still only a few weeks ago assisted his son, Nicholas in his cleaning establishment on Second Avenue.

His wife died many years ago, but he survived by several sons. The funeral service was held Saturday morning from St. Joseph’s Church. Burial was made in St. John’s Cemetery, north of the city.
