Stanley, Ia. – Services for John Bark, 70, who died Tuesday in an Oelwein hospital after a four week illness, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Brandt Funeral Home at Oelwein with burial at Long Grove Cemetery at Maynard.
He was born in Mt. Hope, Wis., and came to this area about 30 years ago. He had resided on a farm about a mile north of here for 19 years.
Besides his wife he leaves four daughters, Mrs. Norman (Opal) Stapel, of Lansing, Mrs. Burl (Edith) Hall, of Oelwein, Mrs. Fred (Minerva) Green, of Lamont, and Mrs. Orville (Ruby) West, of Strawberry Point; two sons, George of Stanley, and Floyd, of Maynard; a sister, Mrs. Ed Moulton, of Los Angeles, Calif., a brother, Louis A., of Randalia and 16 grandchildren.
One daughter Gladys preceded him in death.
