Thelma M. Broad, 94 years old of Cedar Falls, IA and formerly of Jesup, IA died Monday, October 8, 2012, at New Aldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls. She was born February 10, 1918, at Aurora in Buchanan County, IA, the daughter of Harry Ingamells and Susie (Weston) Ingamells. She graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1936. On August 18, 1940, she was united in marriage to Burl Austin Broad in Independence, IA. Thelma worked 25 years at Hawkeye Steel Products in Waterloo. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Jesup.

Mrs. Broad is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Alan) Kuebler of Plano, TX, Sharon (Russell) Andreassen of Waterloo, IA; two sons, Ronald Broad of Melbourne, FL, Richard Broad of Eagan, MN; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and one sister Llea Hintz of Oelwein, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (2005) and one sister, Imogene Vargason.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. – Monday, October 15, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church, Jesup, IA with burial at Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials will be directed to the First United Methodist Church, Jesup, IA. White Funeral Home - Jesup, IA is in charge of arrangements.
