Virginia Bovenmyer Biang
(January 11, 1951 - November 1, 2015)

Virginia Ann Bovenmyer Biang, 64, of West Lafayette, Indiana, entered into her eternal rest on Sunday, November 1, 2015 after a 35 year struggle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Virginia Ann Bovenmyer was born January 11, 1951 in Buchanan County, the daughter of Leon Howard Bovenmyer and Ruth Stimson Bovenmyer. She grew up in Buchanan County south of Masonville. She attended East Buchanan Schools in Winthrop where she graduated with the High School Class of 1969. She was a member of the National Honor Society in school and participated in All State Band four years. She then attended UNI and then Southern Illinois.

Virginia was married to Christopher Biang for 35 years. To this union were born five children whom she home schooled: Michael, Timothy, Thomas, Christine, and Robert. Virginia committed her life to serving God and her family. She actively participated in several Churches. She will be greatly missed.

Virginia was preceded in death by her father Leon. Survivors include her husband Christopher of West Lafayette, IN; her five children: Michael, Timothy, Thomas, Christine, and Robert; six grandchildren; her mother Ruth Bovenmyer of rural Masonville; three brothers and one sister: David Bovenmyer, Steven Bovenmyer, Dean Bovenmyer and Carol Gilson.

The family will greet friends at the Monti Community Center from 10 AM until Noon and after the committal service.

A celebration of life service will be held at Noon on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Monti Community Center. Interment will be in Silver Creek Cemetery south of Masonville, Iowa.

The Fawcett Funeral Home of Winthrop is assisting the family with arrangements.
