Jesup – Nancy C. Knudsen, 76 years old a resident of the Lutheran Home, Strawberry Point, IA, and formerly of Jesup, IA, died Saturday, December 4, 2010, at the Lutheran Home following a lengthy illness.

She was born December 22, 1933, in Waterloo, IA the daughter of Marshall S. Cory and Ruth M (Shaulis) Cory.

She graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1952. On May 22, 1955, she was united in marriage to Clifford Eugene Knudsen at the First Presbyterian Church in Jesup, IA. They farmed near Jesup and Elkader for many years until retirement. She enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Knudsen is survived by her husband Clifford of Strawberry Point, IA; three sons, Mark (Linda) Knudsen of Jesup, IA, Daniel Knudsen and a special friend Lynda Carlson of Noblesville, IN, John (Dana) Knudsen of Peterson, MN, three grandchildren, one great grandson, three brothers, Max (Darlene) Cory of Oelwein, IA, James (Roseann) Cory of Cedar Falls, IA, Richard Cory of Cedar Falls, IA, one sister Patsy (Alan) Clay of Scottsdale, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-mother Lois Cory, one sister, Judy Jensen and one brother, Robert Cory.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Independence, IA with Rev. Tom Jones officiating.

Burial was at Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup, IA.
