WINTHROP — William B. McIntosh, 72, of Winthrop, died Friday, March 21, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, following a long illness.
He was born April 24, 1935, in Waterloo, son of Bernard B. and Elizabeth Boyd McIntosh. He married Jeanette Cornwell on Sept. 23, 1967. She died in 1999.
Mr. McIntosh graduated from Dunkerton High School, Dunkerton, then served in the U.S. Army.
Survived by: a son, Joseph of Winthrop; a daughter, Sheila Bergom of Quitman, Ark.; a grandson; and a brother, John of Dunkerton.
Preceded in death by: a daughter, Judy McIntosh; and a son, Donald.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Union Church, Quasqueton, with burial in Quasqueton Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Quasqueton.
