Independence, Iowa, Oct. 31. – Special: Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Oliver, the former a business man in this city for many years, celebrated the fifty-fourth anniversary of their marriage at their home here Saturday October 24th. The event was commemorated with a family dinner at the home of their daughter, Mrs. L. C. McGill, on East Main Street. They were married in this city Oct. 24, 1877, and they built their present home at that time and that has since been their home.
