Last Friday afternoon, October 4, 1918, at 4 o'clock, Mrs. James B. Fowler passed away at her home in this city, her death being due to pneumonia.

A short time prior to her death Mrs. Fowler went to Strawberry Point for a visit a the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mosher, and while there she contracted a cold which soon developed into pneumonia.

After coming home she showed signs of improvement, but early last week she took a turn for the worse, and failed rapidly until the end.

Lizzie Mosher was born in Clayton county, Iowa, and at the time of her death was about 30 years of age. She was married to James B. Fowler, of Greeley, and with him came to Waverly eight years ago, since which time this city has been her home.

She was a lady who was dearly beloved by all who knew her, she possessed a happy disposition, and numbered her friends by the score. She was a loving wife and mother, and leaves to mourn her death her husband, one son and one daughter, who have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in the hour of their deep affliction.

Mrs. Oelrich, living north of Waverly, is a sister of Mrs. Fowler.

Brief funeral services were held at the home on East Bremer avenue on Sunday morning, Rev. Stook, of the Congregational church, officiating, and the body was taken to Greeley for burial.
