Mr. Langendorfer was united in marriage to Miss Ida Anna Kreiger, Feb. 10, 1886. To this union were born three children, two sons, Earl and Vernon, and one daughter, Fairy, all of whom, with their mother, survive him.

He also leaves four brothers, John, of LeMars; Henry, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; George, of Watertown, S.D. and Edward, of Minneapolis; also three sisters, Mrs. Thos. Adna and Mrs. Wm. Eibel, of LeMars, and Mrs. Geo. Setlz, of Morfield, Miss.; one sister, Mrs. Barton, of Sloan, Iowa, preceding him two years ago.

Mr. Langendorfer has been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church in Plainfield, Iowa, for the past 25 years. He has been a faithful and consistent member of the church and took a particular interest in the work of the Sunday school, having spent six consecutive years as superintendent. He also taught a class of young ladies for nine years, in which he took a special interest, not giving them up until early winter, when his recent illness made it impossible to teach.

During his long residence in this community, Mr. Langendorfer made a host of friends, who will miss him and who extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family and relatives.

Those from away who came to attend the funeral were Henry Langendorfer and daughter Hazel, of Sioux Falls; John Langendorfer, of LeMars; Mrs. Thos. Adna, of LeMars; Will Kreiger, of Emmetsburg, and Mrs. James Smith and Mrs. Perry Castor and daughter Angie, of Republic.

The funeral was held from the Plainfield M.E. church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. F.O. Hillman officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in Willow Lawn cemetery.
