OgdenLola Haberer age 87, of Boone formerly of Ogden died on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Carris Family Funeral Home in Perry. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carris Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone, IA and may be left at the Funeral Home.
Lola Jean Haberer was born on December 6, 1923 at Waverly, IA to Clarence and Ruby (Bravener) Bergman. She graduated from Waverly, High School in 1942. Lola worked for State Auto Insurance Company in Des Moines, IA as a secretary.
She united in marriage to George Haberer on September 16, 1950 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She really enjoyed baking cookies for her family and babysitting her grandchildren.
Lola was preceded in death by parents, Clarence and Ruby Bergman; six brothers, Odus, Cletus, Laurel, Lowell, Clarence Jr. and an infant brother, John and two sisters, Pat Bergman and Janola Goddard.
Survivors include her husband, George Haberer of Boone, Iowa; son, Jim (Linda) Haberer; three daughters, Mary (Stu) Klocksiem, Beth (Tom) Henriksen, Kathy (Tom) Eastlund; nine grandchildren, Jared Haberer, Stephanie Haberer, Justin (Caroline) Klocksiem, Brad Klocksiem, Sarah Henriksen, Tyler Henriksen and Ryan Henriksen, Charlie (Sarah) Eastlund, and Dave Eastlund and one great-grandchild, Emmett Klocksiem.
