WAVERLY - Myrtle Marie Waidelich, 82, of Waverly, died Wednesday, May 4, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, Waverly.
She was born Sept. 26, 1928, in Bremer County, daughter of John and Eldora Hagenow Richmann. She married Henry M. Waidelich on May 23, 1959, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Klinger. He died April, 19, 2010.
Mrs. Waidelich graduated from Readlyn High School in 1948, then worked at Concordia College, River Hills, Ill., and then for Lutheran Mutual, Waverly. She and her husband farmed for 50 years near Shell Rock, retiring in 1994. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Shell Rock.
Survived by: a son, Dan (Joleen) of Norwalk; two daughters, Janet Waidelich of Waverly and Mary (Brian) Qualley of Iowa Falls; three grandchildren, Brandon, Sara and Megan Qualley; and three sisters-in-law, Kathryan Knops of Richfield, Minn., Dorothy Stoddard of Waverly and Marlys Richmann of Denver.
Preceded in death by: three brothers, Norman, Kenneth and Arlin Richmann; and an infant sister.
Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, both in Shell Rock. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly.

Myrtle enjoyed gardening, watching the Cubs and Hawkeyes, word search and jigsaw puzzles.
