TRIPOLI — Anna Louise Tonne Boderman, 96, of Tripoli, died Wednesday, July 24, at Tripoli Nursing and Rehab.

She was born June 25, 1917, in rural Sumner, daughter of Wilhelm and Bertha Frost Meyer. She married Emil Tonne on June 3, 1937, at St. Paul’s Evangelical and Reformed Church, rural Sumner. He died Aug. 6, 1971. She later married Clarence Boderman on Aug. 7, 1973, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Readlyn. He died Aug. 27, 1992.

She and her husband Emil farmed in rural Tripoli.

Survived by: a son, Vernon (Janice) Tonne of rural Tripoli; two stepdaughters, Doretta (Virgil) Buls of Tripoli and Verla Gardner of Sumner; four grandchildren, Keith, Kenneth and Kevin Tonne, and Karen (Laren) Ensign; four stepgrandchildren, Danny (Patsy) and Dean (Kelly) Buls, Rick (Kelly) Gardner and Tammy Lease; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: her parents; a son, Orville; six brothers, John, Edward, Christ, William, Paul and Art Meyer; and five sisters, Helen Meier, Amanda Warnke, Ida Boderman, Leta Meyer and Bertha Judisch.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church-Spring Fountain, rural Sumner, with burial in St. Matthew’s Cemetery, Readlyn. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Readlyn, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to St. John’s-Spring Fountain, St. Matthew’s Lutheran in Readlyn or to the Tripoli Nursing and Rehab.

Anna enjoyed gardening, baking, fishing and playing cards. She especially enjoyed visiting with her family and friends.
