Henry Schultz, the subject of this sketch was born in Dupage County, Ill., Jan. 8, 1865, came to Iowa in 1876, where he resided until his death which occurred Saturday, Oct. 2, 1897, aged 32 years, and 24 days. He was married in 1892 to Miss Minnie Meyer, who together with two children, parents, and numerous other relatives, survive him to mourn his loss. The deceased was a kind and loving husband and respected by all who were so fortunate as to gain his acquaintance. He will not only be missed by the family, but by a host of warm friends.

The funeral was held Monday at the Presbyterian church, Rev. Theo. Henske officiating. Burial was made at the Henske cemetery near Buck Creek.

Mrs. Henry Schultz and family desire, the columns of the GAZETTE, to extend to all those who so kindly assisted during the illness and death of Mr. Schultz, their heartfelt thanks.
