SUMNER
Arthur H. Borcherding, 84, retired farmer and tank truck operator for C-H Farm Service Co., died Sunday morning at Community Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Surviving are his wife, Emelda; two sons, Merlin of Sumner and Jim of Bettendorf; two brothers, Emil of Sumner and Les of New Hampton; two sisters, Elsie Albrecht and Emilda Niewoehner, both of Sumner; six grandchildren, a stepgranddaughter and two great-grandsons. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, St. John Lutheran Church. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. today at Becker-Milnes' and one hour before service time Wednesday in the church.
