WILLIAM J. HAGEDORN
Funeral services for William John Hagedorn, 74 were held Wednesday, January 12, at St. John's Lutheran Church at Frederika. The Rev. R. F. Gronewold officiated with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg.

Mr. Hagedorn was born on May 16, 1897, in Chickasaw County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Hagedorn. On January 6, 1920 he was married to Sarah Madden and they farmed near Frederika until their retirement a few years ago when they moved to their present home in Fredericksburg.

He was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church and Brotherhood, and served on the Frederika Creamery board for several years.

Mr. Hagedorn suffered a heart attack on January 2 and died at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Waverly on January 10.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah; three children, Donald of Lakewood, Colo., Mrs. Orville (Hazel) Oltrogge of Waverly, and Mrs. Leslie (June) Parker Jr. of Ionia; and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers, Louie, Edward and Albert of Ionia, and Leslie of New Hampton; and by four sisters, Bertha Hagedorn of Fredericksburg, Mrs. Fred (Anna) Priebe of New Hampton, Mrs. Wilko Shroder of Sumner, and Marie Hagedorn of Charles City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Betty Jane, who died in infancy and by two sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Ida) Steege and Mrs. Oliver (Leola) Munson.
