FANNYE I. HOFFMAN

Fannye I. Hoffman, 98, long time Waverly resident, died at the Bartels Lutheran Home on Wednesday evening, May 8. She was born June 26, 1886 near Horton, the daughter of Charles and Adaline Hurlbut Miller. On April 25, 1906, she was married to William Hoffman in Waverly. He died Aug. 26, 1951. Fannye became a resident of Bartels Home in 1982. She is survived by three sons, Charles of Cedar Falls, Leonard of Janesville and Walter of Humboldt, six grandchildren three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Ralph; two dauthers, Mrs. Arnold (Helen) Spier and Thelma Hoffman, one brother and six sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 11 at Kaiser-Corson Chapel, Waverly with burial in Harlington Cemetery. Rev. Walter B. Phelps will officiate. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be directed to Bartels Lutheran Home.
