WOODRING THOMAS HUNT GARNER RICHTSMEIER SCHMITZ

Mrs. A. H.Woodring, 81, passed away at her home in Waverly Thursday morning, April 26, 1973.

Pearl M. Thomas was born on Sept. 13, 1891 in Manchester, Ia., the daughter of William and Lillian Hunt Thomas. She graduated from the Nashua High School in 1910, and for several years taught school at Plum Creek, near Frederika. On June 5, 1915 she was united in marriage to Anson H. Woodring in New Hampton. The couple farmed near Frederika for 4 years, then moved to a farm just north of Waverly. They remained there until retiring in 1961, when they moved to 303 7th Ave. S. W. in Waverly. Mr. Woodring passed away on Dec. 18, 1967.

Mrs. Woodring was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Waverly, a member of the W.S. C. S., a member of the Eastern Star, a member of the V.F. W. Aux., and was a member of the handcraft department of the Waverly Women's Club.

She is survived by three sons, William A., Plainfield, George A., Indianola, Richard P., Waverly; three daughters, Dorothy (Mrs. Vernon) Garner, Shell Rock, Helen, (Mrs. Paul Richtsmeier, Ackley, Georgia Ann (Mrs Norbert) Schmitz, Denver, one brother, Fred Thomas, Phoenix, Ariz., 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchilren. She was preceed in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Robert, one daughter, Melicdent, two brothers, Floyd and Bill, and one grandson.
