Died -- At her residence, in Bremer county, March 30, 1880, Mrs. Elizabeth, wife of David Marquis. Her death was caused by a cancer on the arm. Her sickness was of a very short duration -- she was taken ill on Monday night and Tuesday night she died.

She was born in Kentucky, August 13, 1813, removing from thence to Indiana, where her earlier life was spent, and where she married David Marquis November 1, 1835. About twenty-five years ago she moved with her husband to their present farm in Bremer county. During her long residence here she had endeared herself to a large circle of friends, who sympathize deeply in the loss sustained by husband and children.

Thursday morning the remains were conveyed to East Janesville M. E. church, where funeral services were conducted by Rev. D. E. Skinner, after which the sorrowing friends consigned their loved one to her last resting place.
