March 29, 1957Local Businessman Dies at 76
Will C. Marks, 76-year old resident of Little Rock road, died Wednesday at a local hospital following a long illness. He was owner of the Paradise motel here.
A resident of this city for 25 years, Mr. Marks was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife, Ima; one son, Edwin J., of Fort Smith; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph F. Knudsen of Des Moines, Iowa; two brothers, August of Wiona, Minn., and Albert of Davenport, Iowa; one sister, Minnie Topp of Elgin, Iowa; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., at Fentress chapel with Rev. Victor Coffman officiating. Burial will be in Rose Lawn cemetery under the direction of Fentress mortuary.
(Will Marks was born in Germany and came with his parents and siblings to America as a child and settled in the Sumner, Iowa area)
