Mrs. Tyler Boone, an old resident of this county, passed away at her home in Worth township last Saturday morning, after an extended illness at the age of 62 years. Mrs. Boone's maiden name was Mary Nutt and she came to Boone county, Iowa with her mother in 1855, settling in the same township in which she died . . . Both she and her husband came from large and influential families.
Tyler Boone is a lineal descendant from the Boone family of which Daniel Boone, the Kentucky pioneer and Indian fighter was a member and is a third cousin to Col. Nathan Boone, after whom Boone county and Boone river were both named. Mrs. Boone's funeral sermon was preached Sunday afternoon at the house by Rev. Coffin of the Christian church of Madrid, and the remains interred in the Squire Boone cemetery.
(NOTE by LVD - Lineage is incorrect. Tyler was a 3rd cousin to Nathan's grandchildren.
Tyler was a great-grandson of the Squire Boone who was a brother to Daniel Boone, Pioneer)
