JAMES SELLERS, 77, DIES AT HOSPITAL
James Sellers, 77, died at the Boone Co. Hospital this Monday Morning following an extended illness.. He had been a patient in the hospital since Sept. 16.
Mr. Sellers came to this country from Scotland when he was a young child and was engaged as a coal miner here for 60 years. His home was at 321 Webster St.
Survivors include ten children, Mrs. Harry (Ethel) Bricker of Boone, Mrs. Ronald (Myrle) Steffy of Maywood, Ill, Mrs. Lawrence (Ruth) Kelsey of Davenport, Ia, Mrs Randall (Nora) Petersen of Boone, and Mrs. Clifford (Grace) Sparks of Downey, Ca; five sons, Howard of Janesville, Wisc, James of Boone, Walter of Stratford, Dean of Des Moines, and Dan of the US Navy in Japan.
Also surviving are six brothers, Thomas, Adam, Sam, Sandy, and Willie all of Boone, and John of Camden, Mo., 14 grandchildren and 3 great grand children. Mrs. Sellers preceded him in death two years ago.
Friends may call at the Welin Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 23, at 1:30 o'clock from the Marion St. Methodist Church with the Rev. Gerald Noland in charge. Burial will be in Linwood Park Cemetery.
