Milton Edward Bump
Milton Edward Bump was born in Iowa Center, Iowa on April 3, 1893, the son of Percy and Ida bump and passed away at the Boone County Hospital on May 10, 1958 at the age of 65 years, one month and seven days.
When he was 13 he moved with his parents and family to a farm near Montrose, South Dakota. There he was baptized into the Baptist Church . At the age of 21 he attended barber college in Omaha, Nebraska, and has followed the barbering profession until his final illness prevented. He has been a member of the Journeyman Barbers' and Proprietors' Union at Boone for 22 years. He has also been a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Moose Legion at Boone since 1942.
Mr. Bump was married to Cora Trende, June 19, 1933, at Galena, Illinois, and in October, 1935 they moved to Madrid where they have since resided.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister. Surviving members of his family include his wife Cora; Three children by a former marriage; Eli C Bump, Mrs. Velva Bostrom, and Mrs. Mary Dehn, and eight grandchildren, all of St. Paul, Minn; two brothers, Vern of Chowchille, Calif and Lorin of Port Byron, Illinois and a sister , Mrs. Paul Christensen of Kansas City, MO. There are also two aunts Mrs. Lulu Psegate of Story City, Iowa and Mrs. Blanche Smith of Cedar Falls, plus many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Homer F. Perry, pastor of the Congregational Christian Church, at the Sundberg Funeral Home Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Music was furnished by Mrs. Ed Gilbert. Interment was at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

The Children and I wish to thank everyone, the Community Club, the VFW Auxilliary 5060, The Moose and the Women of the Moose. Especially Rev. Homer Perry and Mrs. Eleanor Gilbert. Also our many personal friends and neighbors with their acts of kindness and consideration to "Red" and I and the children thru his last illness and the trying time following his passing. Again we thank you.
