Daisy (Doran) RINKER

Daisy Rinker, 77, Ogden, died Oct. 3, 1977 at the Ledges Manor. She was born July 16, 1900, in Beaver, the daughter of Justin and Olive Doran. She married J. Perry Rinker, Sept. 1, 1929.

Daisy was a graduate of Ogden High School and attended ISU. She was a member of the Methodist Church and lived on a farm south of Beaver until moving to Ogden in 1957.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant son, a sister and ten brothers.

Survivors include a son, O. D. (Bob) Rinker of Ogden; three daughters, Janice Coy and Jeanette Smithson, of Ames; Jacqueline Souder, Rippey; a sister, Maude Campbell, Boone and 17 grandchildren.

Services will be held Thurdsay at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ogden with Rev. John Beebout officiating. Burial will be in the Beaver Cemetery. Friends my call at the Carson Funeral Home in Ogden until 9 p.m. tonight and from 9 till noon on Thursday. The casket will remain closed at the church.


This obituary was found at the Ericson Public Library in Boone. The library has several 3-ring binders filled with pages of multiple obituaries photocopied on to one page. The volume that this particular obit was found in is unknown, but the page # is 1. The title of the newspaper and the issue date are written in beside the obit. They read "Boone News-Rep(ublican) - Wed. Oct 5 - 1977".
