Family was most important to Ruth. She would do anything for her husband and three boys or any other family member. Ruth was an excellent cook and pie maker. Her specialty was wild black raspberry pie. Pie and coffee were almost always available when neighbors, friends and relatives stopped by. Friendly conversation was always available.
Ruth enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidery, drawing, and painting and making ceramics. She and her husband enjoyed listening to jazz music and genealogy.
A Memorial Service will be held in June at Fairview Cemetery near Madrid. Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall is in charge of local arrangements. Boone News Republican
